Pedometer Exercise – Effortless Walking for Fun

Do you know that you possess the power to stay in good shape if you just walk?  It’s true that walking is one of the most effortless forms of exercise.  One thing very special about this exercise is that almost everyone is able to do and enjoy it.  What you need is a pair of decent sports shoes, and an inexpensive piece of small digital step counter pedometer.  Of course, there are many ways you can actually perform this pedometer exercise, here are some effortless walking exercises you may like to try out.

One of the great outdoor walking activities you may enjoy is hiking. Although this is something inconvenient for some of us to do, but try it whenever possible. Get together with some friends on the weekends and go places or even go into the woods for some great hiking.  It’s also impossible and very time consuming for us to actually walk for 10,000 steps or five miles every day, but by putting on a step counter pedometer whenever you go out walking, it can monitor the total number of steps walked for that day.  You can even get out and do your pedometer exercise if you’re able to double up your activities at once; example like you may listen to some audio books whenever you’re walking.  It’s a great way to enjoy two activities at once, while you’re also counting your steps with the pedometer.

You can even enjoy walking in the house.  If you have an exercise machine such as a treadmill, place it in front of the TV and do your pedometer exercise while watching your favorite TV show.  Walking for at least half an hour whenever you’re watching television is one of the most effortless forms of exercise that you can really enjoy, just put on the step counter pedometer and forget about it.  Sometimes, you’ll become so engrossed in the TV show you’re watching that you don’t realize that you’re doing exercise at all.

Walking is not only one of the most effortless exercises you can do, it’s also one of the most effective.  If you can walk for at least 30 minutes every day in the mornings and at least 30 minutes in the evenings, your health will be drastically changed in a month’s time.  Just put on the step counter pedometer whenever you do your pedometer exercise, you’ll eventually burn more calories and lose more fat.
